2026 Try Hockey for Free

Ever wondered what it feels like to skate across the ice, take your first shot, and discover a new sport? Mankato Area Hockey Association’s Try Hockey for Free event gives kids the chance to gear up, get on the ice, and experience hockey in a fun, welcoming environment.

No experience is needed, and there is no pressure to be perfect. Just bring a positive attitude, a sense of adventure. MAHA will help with the rest!

MAHA’s Try Hockey for Free event is part of USA Hockey’s national Try Hockey program. With support from the National Hockey League, NHL member clubs, and local hockey associations across the country, the program is designed to introduce new families to the sport and give kids the opportunity to experience hockey at no cost.
