Ryan has been coaching goalies in Minnesota for 6 years. He played his high school years between Shattuck St. Mary’s and Lakeville North High School. After, he played junior hockey for 1 season in the USHL for the Madison Capitols. For his NCAA career, Ryan played 4 seasons at Boston College and graduated with a teaching degree in Applied Psychology and Human Development. Being awarded a 5th year of eligibility, Ryan concluded his NCAA playing career for Minnesota State as a graduate student. Post college, Ryan finished his playing career with 2 minor pro seasons. He has a passion for developing goalies to maximize their potential through his experience and what he has learned from his mentors. He is currently the goalie coach for the Minnesota State University Men's hockey team.
MAHA believes in investing in our goaltenders and are proud to provide this additional training. All goalies are expected to attend the Monday night goalie nights. All coaches have been informed to exempt the goalies from their team practice if there is a MAHA goalie night session being held that night. All sessions are held at MCC downtown unless otherwise noted.
Goalies should RSVP HERE to help ensure goalie to coach ratio is kept low. Failure to rsvp will result in higher ratios.
GOALIE SESSION TIMES
Only attend the session that matches your team level you are currently in.
Mites/8U girls: 5:45-6:30pm
Squirts/10U girls: 6:30-7:15pm
Peewees/12U girls: 7:15-8:00pm
Bantams/15U girls: 8:15-9:00pm
Please only use your assigned locker room and do not use any other "open" locker rooms. The girls will have a dedicated locker room to use the entire night regardless of level (locker room closest to the rink). Any shooters that are there for the night must follow the assigned locker room for the level they are shooting for that night. We are guests at MCC and need to treat the facility with respect and follow the rules of that facility. Please reference Player Code of Conduct under Policies.
