Hello Mankato Hockey Families!!
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we come closer to the start of another hockey season. We have finalized the placement schedule for the 2020/2021 season and there are some changes as compared to previous seasons. Please ensure to review the data below that would affect your player/players.
Travelling Team Projections 2020/2021 Season:
Bantam – A, B1, B2
Peewee – A, B1, B2, C

All Squirt, Peewee, Bantam and Girls 12U players will need to pick up a placement jersey prior to stepping on the ice for their first scheduled session. There will be a table to check in and get this at the rink, players need to wear this for the duration and turn in on the last day, exact location at the rink will be communicated later.
Group splits for Squirt, Peewee and Bantam will be posted on the Mankato Hockey website and an email will be sent with the exact link location after the first day.
Girls 15U – If we have enough players signed up to field a team there are 2 days assigned for “placements”, this is for identifying and evaluating move-up players from younger levels.
Girls 12U – All 12U players to follow placement plan and criteria as previous seasons.
Girls 10U – There will not be “placement” times for this group, these players will come to their scheduled practice times and the teams will be divided at the end of October/early November. First practices will be the week of October 12th.
Squirt – This season there will only be 2 “placement” days Saturday Oct. 10th & Sunday Oct. 11th. The first day is by players last name and the second day will be divided by groups. At the end of these two “placement” days players will be assigned to either the “Squirt A1, A2 and B1” or “Squirt B2 and C” teams. However, the players specific team will not be assigned until the end of October.
Bantam – Same as previous years, first day split by last name, then days 2, 3 and 4 will be group 1 & group 2.
Peewee – Same as previous years, first day split by last name, then days 2, 3 and 4 will be group 1 & group 2.

3. Masks are to be worn while in the building and can ONLY be taken off only while on the ice actively participating.
4. No spectators. No circumstances.

MAHA’s stance on bad weather accounts for parents to make an ultimate decision on behalf of the child. All Seasons Arena typically does not close due to poor weather, therefore MAHA does not cancel practice on poor weather days, even if school is called. However, any practices being held on days school is let out due to weather are considered “optional”, yet coaches will attend the practice time for anyone wishing to attend. Players missing such practices will NOT be subject to any team rule sanctions.
In the case of school cancellations, all non-district games will automatically be cancelled. In the case of district games, teams must follow the District 9 policy, which calls for both teams agreeing to cancel a game before it can be cancelled.
