Mankato Area Hockey Association's Board of Directors would like to introduce Carter Foguth as our Hockey Operations Director. We want to thank Marcus Peterson for his dedication and leadership during his tenure as Hockey Operations Chair. Marcus will continue to support the association as the Peewee level lead and will be working closely with Carter to transition the responsibilities.
Carter is originally from Fenton, Michigan, and grew up playing AAA Travel Hockey for Detroit Compuware. Carter played Junior Hockey for 1 season in the North American Hockey League for the Marquette Rangers and 3 years in the United States Hockey League for the Muskegon Lumberjacks. He played 4 years of Division I College Hockey for Minnesota State University - Mankato, serving as an Alternate Captain as a Sophomore and Captain as a Junior and Senior. He received the 2017 Don Brose Leadership Award and Unsung Player Award.
Carter's coaching career includes 3 years as the Head Coach and General Manager of the Chippewa Steel in the North American Hockey League, and 2 years of skill development training with MAP Hockey out of Plymouth, MN.
Additionally, he has spent the past 2 seasons as an amateur scout for the Detroit Red Wings in the National Hockey League.
Carter, his wife Malorie, son Camden, and Mini Golden Doodle Lulu are looking forward to being part of the MAHA family.
Carter joins the association today, August 1st. We are excited to have him on board. He can be reached at the email: hockeyoperations@mankatohockey.com.

Live Barn is now available for both the north and south rinks at ASA and will soon be available at MCC. Live Barn is a website that allows you to watch games and some practices from your computer or mobile device for a monthly fee. Live Barn is transmitting from over 100 rinks in Minnesota.
MAHA’s stance on bad weather accounts for parents to make an ultimate decision on behalf of the child. All Seasons Arena typically does not close due to poor weather, therefore MAHA does not cancel practice on poor weather days, even if school is called. However, any practices being held on days school is let out due to weather are considered “optional”, yet coaches will attend the practice time for anyone wishing to attend. Players missing such practices will NOT be subject to any team rule sanctions.
In the case of school cancellations, all non-district games will automatically be cancelled. In the case of district games, teams must follow the District 9 policy, which calls for both teams agreeing to cancel a game before it can be cancelled.
